Supporting Cancer Patients in Colorado

This year’s Northern Colorado Cattle Baron’s Ball Paddle Raise will support American Cancer Society initiatives in Colorado to break down the barriers to care that impact many in our community. Including:

• Cancer information, answers, and hope.
  • Available every minute of every day via 1-800-227-2345 and www.cancer.org
• Rides to treatment
  • Sometimes getting to cancer treatment is a challenge. Patients can get help through the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program and transportation grants.
• Lodging when treatment is far from home
  • If cancer treatment is far from home and patients need a place to stay, the American Cancer Society can help with our Hope Lodge Communities and lodging programs.

In 2023, the American Cancer Society provided lifesaving access to care support to Coloradans. ACS…

• Connected 964 individuals to answers and support more than 2,507 times with our cancer helpline
• Provided 145 guests with access to free and reduced rate lodging with community partners
• Awarded $10,000 in grants to a partner to provide lodging
• Provided 111 guests with over 1,867 nights of free lodging at our Hope Lodge communities
• Awarded $23,000 in grants to 5 partners to provide rides
• Provided 118 cancer patients with 1,225 rides with our Road to Recovery program

   

More than 80% of our revenue is invested in delivering our mission
