Northern Colorado's Premier Million Dollar Fundraising Event
The American Cancer Society is working to finish the fight against every cancer in every community. Your donations help us do the most for people with cancer today and work tirelessly to find cures to end the disease tomorrow.
In the United States, in 2021, almost 1.9 million new cancer cases will be diagnosed and 608,570 Americans will lose their battle. That’s more than 1,650 people a day and does not account for the impact of late diagnoses from Covid-19.
An estimated 3.2 million cancer deaths have been averted from 1991 through 2018 due to reductions in smoking, early detection, and improvements in treatment.
Your donation can help us move one step closer to a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer.

Research in Colorado- 2021 Mission Paddle Raise
What Does it Take to Outsmart Cancer? Research.
We've invested more than $5 billion in cancer research since 1946, all to find more – and better – treatments, uncover factors that may cause cancer, and improve cancer patients' quality of life.
Our grants fund high impact and innovative cancer research conducted by hundreds of promising scientists and health care professionals—primarily early in their careers—at institutions across the United States. We are committed to maintaining a broad cancer research portfolio—any type of cancer and within any part of the cancer research continuum. In addition, we place a special emphasis on solution-based health equity research.
The funds that we use to support research grants are possible because of generous donations to the ACS.
It is estimated in 2021 there will be 28,630 new cancer cases and 8,420 deaths.
As of March 2021, ACS is currently funding 17 cancer research grants totaling $10.2 million in our state alone.
ACS works with the leading healthcare systems in Colorado to help more people prevent cancer or find it early, provide patient and provider education, and improve care.
*Funds raised from the mission paddle raise will be restricted to active ACS research in Colorado.
