Gene and Julie Johnson Haffner are happy to partner with the American Cancer Society as co-chairs of the 2020 Cattle Baron’s Ball in Northern Colorado. Their families’ first-hand experiences with cancer motivated them to fight cancer in the best ways they know how — with friends, family and community!
“Our efforts this year will focus on prevention and early detection of cancer, also one of the American Cancer Society’s top mission targets. Cancer doesn’t stop…neither can the efforts to detect and prevent. We invite you to join us for this purpose at the 2020 event.”
Gene and Julie have been Northern Colorado community leaders for many years. Gene was the Director of Public Relations at North Colorado Medical Center for 24 years and Julie was the President of the McKee Medical Center Foundation for 13 years. She also led community fundraising activities with the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County, Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation and Colorado State University.
Gene and Julie served as the Grand Marshals of Greeley’s Independence Stampede. Both have been involved in district-wide leadership positions with Rotary International and Kiwanis. They have served on various northern Colorado boards and Julie is also a member of PEO.
Their family includes three daughters: Lindsay Johnson Miller, Esq. and granddaughter Harper;Carrie Johnson Kern, MSN, FNP-C, her husband Major (USAF) Roland Kern and their two children; and Kelley Johnson, MSN, FNP-C.
Jim and I have parents and grandparents who were affected by cancer. We also have friends who
have been touched by this disease. Supporting our community and cancer research is a cause that
All of us can help people in their fight against cancer as well as in their recovery. Your participation in the Cattle Baron’s Ball at Home 2020 will help in achieving those goals. Please join us
in supporting this year’s unique event!
Thank you to our dedicated committee members.
This is not possible with out you!
